Turns out, she didn’t find that very amusing

She said if I come home with another car, she’s coming home with a puppy. When I asked how much the puppy would appreciate a Camry SE V6 Coupe, the reaction on her face made it all worth it. Many other gems in our discussion, but the trolling seemed to only to entertain me so I’ll spare you all...

But I did learn that the Land Cruiser is expempt from the Puppy Threat™. And Friday was payday.

My wife’s version is finishing the basement. We’re a family of three in a 4 bedroom, 3 bath house. Why do I need more finished sq ft?

I will eventually lose the battle, so I should buy something before soon. Buying a car takes what, a couple of hours? Finishing a basement takes much longer.

I once texted my wife that I wanted to replace the beetle with a B7 S4 and explained that sometimes you have disassemble the whole front and take the engine out. It was in the middle of a rough day for her(which I didn’t realize) and I couldn’t mention cars for weeks without her having that look on her face like she might murder me. More recently I told her that 4Motion Sportwagens (with the auto) were getting affordable and I think it’d be the perfect beetle replacement and that she really liked. I’m just waiting to see if more used ones start coming on the market.

You know...I keep getting the new puppy “BUT HE’S SOOOO CUTE!” pictures sent to me via text. I think the reverse will be true in our house. For every additional puppy, there will be an additional car.

I was going though old posts, and found one about that 86 CRX Si I tried to buy like 2 years ago. I got kinda said and my wife noticed. She asked what I looked sad. I showed here the screen on my tablet and said “because this got away’

her response “thats okay I dont like it anyway, your BMW is a much better car.” those words stung more than not having the car. How could thee woman I love not want a 30 year old Honda?
